About The Artist

A quiet studio, a sharpened pencil, and the patience to wait for a likeness to arrive.

I'm Thimira Kumarasinghe, a fine artist working from Ja - Ela, Sri Lanka. What began as filling sketchbooks between classes became a five-year practice built on one belief — that a portrait should feel like a person remembered, not a photograph copied.

Every commission begins with a conversation and ends with graphite dust on my hands. No filters, no prints, no shortcuts. Some pieces take forty hours; the right ones take as long as they need.
